Jan 30, 1975, Big Spring, Texas : Funeral services for LILLIE L. LOOBY, 26, a former Big Spring resident who was shot to death in her home in Colchester, Connecticut will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Nalley-Pickle Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring with the Rev J. E. Meeks pastor of the Baptist Temple Church officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Memorial Park.
Mrs. Looby was born June 28, 1948 in Denison, Texas. She moved to Big Spring with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Biby in 1957. She attended Big Spring schools and graduated from Big Spring High School. She had resided in Colchester for the last five years.. Survivors, in addition to her husband and two children include her parents ; two sisters, Mrs. Nelda Blagg of Howe, Texas and Pat Biby of Big Spring & several aunts & uncles.
A 30 year old postal clerk has been charged with murder in the January 30 shooting death of his 26 year old wife, a former Big Spring resident in Colchester, Connecticut, Charles R. Looby, III was charged with the death of his wife, Lillie L. Looby, 26, who apparently died of gunshot wound, state police said. The shooting took place in the couple's red shuttered, white, two story house in Colchester. The couple resided in Bolton, Connecticut before moving to Colchester. They have one daughter, Charlotte Looby, age 8 and a son, Charles, age 5.
