— Mr. Wayne V. Cummings, age 87, passed away Friday, August 13, 2010. After serving his country during World War II, he worked as an electrician for Reynolds Metal Company, retiring after 30 years. He is survived by his daughter, Joyce and Leonard Kik of Grand Rapids and his son, Larry Cummings of Lowell; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; his special cousin, Delores Powers. A Memorial Service for Mr. Cummings was held on Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans with Chaplain John Poston officiating. Military honors were under the auspices of the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard. His cremated remains are to be buried in Fairplains Cemetery.
