Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Wallace was born March 4, 1932, in Lincoln County, the son of Mae Lofton Wallace and George W. Wallace.
He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He was employed at International Paper Company for 42 years, retiring in 1992.
He worked with Dixie Youth Baseball for 34 years. He worked as umpire manager and the board of directors from 1955 until his retirement in 1989, when the "Wallace League" was named in his honor. Mr. Wallace served as referee of high school and college baseball, basketball and high school football for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Mississippi High School Activities Association.
Mr. Wallace was preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother, Maxie Wallace.
Survivors include his wife, Annalo Nations Wallace of Natchez; one son and his wife, Dr. Mickey P. and Dollye Wallace of Jackson; four grandsons, Ryan Wallace, Matthew Wallace, Sean Wallace and Robert Pettigrew; sister-in-law, Rose Wallace of Natchez; one nephew, Bruce Wallace of Natchez; two nieces, Beverly Mullins of Nashville, Tenn., and Sandra W. Moore of Houston, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Wallace, John Noble, Bob Drinkwater, Dean Foster, Jimmy Ward, Bobby Harrell, Clarence Bowlin, Sam Hendrix, Jimmy Sandel and Square Ladner.
Honorary pallbearers will be board of directors of Dixie Youth Baseball.
