Dale William Day, Sr., age 63, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at his residence. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Dale is survived by three sons, Dale W. Day Jr., Anthony M. Day, and Daniel B. Day and wife Amy all of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; two daughters, Fran C. Day of Pensacola, Florida and Tracy L. Burgess and husband Jonathan of Jacksonville, Florida; three sisters, Eloise Gillis of LaGrange, Georgia, Alice Fuller of Pensacola, Florida, and June Hobbs of Niceville, Florida; two brothers, Leroy Day and wife Pat of Freeport, Florida and Clary Day and wife Virginia of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A time of visitation will be held Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433, from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 24, 2008 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home beginning at 11 a.m. with Reverend Jim Vail officiating. Interment will follow at the Euchee Valley Cemetery.
