Mr. Cross died Saturday August 5, 2006 at the Norfolk Veterans Home.
Marvin Christ Cross, son of Robert and Martha (Menkins) Cross, was born April 16, 1921 at Center, Nebraska. He attended grade school in Center. On December 7, 1943, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served until January 17, 1946. In April of 1946 he was married to Josephine Macke at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. Four children were born to them, Helen, Perry, Larry, and David. Marvin farmed north of Creighton all of his life. Marvin was a member of VFW Post 1151 in Creighton. He died Saturday, August 5, 2006 at the Norfolk Veterans Home at the age of 85.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine, of Creighton; sons, Larry and David of Creighton; and daughter, Helen of Cheyene, WY; and one sister, Hazel Walton of Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Perry; a brother, Raymond; and a sister, Arvilla.
