Laila was reared and educated in Alden Township near Two Harbors. She graduated from Clover Valley High School. She graduated from business college, then went to work at a credit union in Superior, Wisconsin.
After her marriage to Mr. Ware, the couple lived in Duluth, Minn. They moved to Colorado in 1949 and lived in the Ault and Eaton communities. They moved to Evans in 1952 where Laila continued to live after Mr. Ware's death until her marriage to Mr. Schissler, and the couple moved to Greeley.
Laila worked for Public Health Services in Greeley. She then worked for the Social Security Administration for 25 years until she retired. She enjoyed her grandchildren, cultivating roses, and collecting recipes. A member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she was active in Ruth's Circle and XYZ Club. She also was a member of International Toastmistresses.
Survivors are 2 daughters; 4 step-daughters; and 2 step-sons.
Her parents; a brother, George Nappa; and two step-sons, William Harve Ware and Theodore "Teddy" Schissler, are deceased.
