Adam Scheidt was born 22 January 1876 in Neu Weimar, Russia.
He was the son of Friedrich Scheidt and Katherina nee Weibert. On 25 December 1897 he married Katherina Elisabeth Schnider. Ten children were born of this marriage. Two children preceded him.
The family came to America in1905 from Russia to Sugar City, Colorado for three years, four years in Fort Morgan and 4 years in Eaton, Colorado and in 1919 to Greeley.
He died 22 October 1958 at the age of 82 years and 9 months.
He is survived by two sons and 6 daughters: David and Heinrich Scheidt, Mrs. Katie Foss and Mrs. Katherine Kahl, all of Greeley, Mrs. Mary Hellmuth, Mrs. Pauline May, and Mrs. Racheal Miller, all three of Fort Morgan, Colo., and Mrs. Helen McKinney of Lawrence, Mass., 21 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren, a brother.
Burial will be Monday the 27 October 1958.
