Mrs. Anna Mahanay Dies At Greeley Last Friday
Last Friday, July 17, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. K. F. Bean at Greeley, occurred the death of Mrs. Anna Rebecca Mahanay, aged 54 years. Mrs. Mahanay was well known to many Lafayette people where she formerly resided with her son Joseph, the latter being the manager of the local telephone exchange. Last fall Mrs. Mahanay and son moved to Grand Junction and since last November she has been confined to her bed. March last she was removed to the home of her daughter in Greeley where she had received every care and attention until her death. Beside her son Joseph and daughter Mrs. Bean she is survived by one son, O. T., of Berkeley, California. Funeral services were held from the Greeley Christian church Tuesday afternoon, conducted by the pastor Rev. Reese, and burial was made in the Greeley cemetery. Among those present at the funeral were a large number of the members of the Lafayette Eastern Star lodge of which Mrs. Mahaney was a member.
