Esther Hergenreder was born in Eaton, Co to Alex and Kathrine (Stoll) Oblander. She graduated from Gill High School in 1946, and then attended Business College of Denver. Mrs. Hergenreder worked for Montgomery Wards and the Great Western Sugar Company.

Esther married Richard Hergenreder on September 25, 1949. They moved to Kersey, where she worked at the Platte Valley Grade School for five years, then moved on to the Motor Vehicle Department for 26 years. She was a member of the AHSGR and the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Hergenreder was an avid dancer, and loved to watch her grandchildrens sport activities. She also enjoyed fishing and genealogy. She spent time traveling to Germany, Italy, Austria and Switzerland.

She was a member of St. Johns Untied Church of Christ. Mrs. Hergenreder died Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at North Colorado Medical Center.

Survivors: 3 sons; 1 daughter; 6 grandchildren; 2 brothers; 1 sister and special friend, Chuck Winter. Proceeded in death by: Her husband; two sisters.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Adamson West Chapel
Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday April 18, 2008 at St. Johns United Church of Christ.
Interment: Linn Grove Cemetery.
