Mrs. Gates, 80, of Loveland Expires

Funeral of Mrs. Frances Gates, 80, Loveland resident who died Wednesday at a rest home there, will be held at Hammond's mortuary a 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at a Greeley cemetery, beside the grave of her husband.

She was born in Hamilton, Ill., and married Rowdy Gates at Clarinda, Iowa, in 1890. They came to Colorado in 1909, residing in Berthoud until Mr. Gates' death. Mrs. Gates had lived most of the time since 1926 in the Loveland area, except for a time when she lived four miles east of Estes Park. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors are four children, Mrs. Ross Fritz of Worland, Wyo., Basil Gates of Loveland, Dr. Orval L. Gates of Berthoud and Dr. Cecil Gates of Upper Montclair, N. J.

In addition eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two brothers, Dr. C. B. Outhier of Salinas, Calif., and Dr. W. C. Outhier of Pomona, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Lawrence of Aberdeen, Wash., survive.
