Mr. Ray was born in Oaxaca, Sonora, Mexico, and came to Mesa 75 years ago. He was last employed as a bookkeeper for Miller Rubber Co. in Phoenix. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and obtained the rank of high priest. Survivors include his daughter Norma Jean Leonard of San Diego; step-daughter Beverly Hartman of Wisconsin; brothers Waldo of Mesa and Wardlow of Chandler; sisters Fern Willis of Wickenburg and Marguerite Thomas of Taylor; one grandchild; five step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and 14 step-great grandchildren.
