Jesse M. Beasley md 2nd on the 15th of September 1949, Putnam Co., TN to Katherine (McDonald) Beasley, b. 16 June 1922 – d. 22 April 2008, d/o John Marion McDonald (1876-1961)& Julia Lee Ashley (1887-1982).
Mr. Jesse M. Beasley, prominent resident of Chestnut Mound community, passed away Wednesday evening January 19 at a local hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon January 22 from the Chestnut Methodist United Church by Rev. Frank Blair and Rev. Joseph Smith. Interment was in Smith County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Katherine McDonald Beasley of Chestnut Mound; 1 son Jim S. Beasley, Menomonee Falls, WI; 1 daughter, Miss Susan Beasley, Chestnut Mound; and 3 grandchildren.
Mr. Beasley was a native of Smith County, was a retired rural mail carrier, a member of the Chestnut Mound United Methodist Church where he was active in the affairs of the church and was a civic leader of the Chestnut Mound community.
