Cynthia "Cindy" Nichols, 55, of Garden City, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at her home in Garden City.

She was born April 10, 1955, in Garden City, to John Walter and Wilma Lucinda Couch Rich.

She was a lifetime resident of Garden City and a homemaker. She married Jimmy Lee Nichols.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Nichols of Garden City; three brothers, Mike Rich of Dodge City, Pete Rich of Manhattan, and Chris Rich of Cambridge, Neb.; four sisters, Linda Rowley, Cheryl Frizzel and April Diaz, all of Garden City, and Joyce Ahrens of Greensburg; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Johnny Rich, and a sister, Vicki Herring.

A funeral service was at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. Burial was at Valley View Cemetery.
