BESSIE HARMON DIES AT ELWOOD
ELWOOD - Mrs. Bessie Harmon, 77, died at 11 p.m. Friday at the Mercy Hospital. A native of Shoals, she was born Sept. 4, 1893, the daughter of Morton and Lola Garrison.
She was a member of the West Walnut Church of Christ in Portland. Her husband, Rollie, died July 23, 1968.
Surviving are three children, Mrs. Edward Keifer of Elwood, Harry Harmon of Columbus, Ohio and Robert Harmon of Washington D.C.; and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Copher and Fester Funeral Home with interment in the Green Park Cemetery, Portland.
Friends may call on the family from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
