Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Nash-Nelson Chapel in Waterman, with the Rev. Ralph Marquardt officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Streator. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the chapel in Waterman and from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel in Streator.
Mr. Hozie was born June 11, 1903, in Streator. He married Verneille Dulian on Oct. 8, 1924, in Grand Ridge. He was a farmer for many years.
He is survived by a son, Vern of Lake Holiday in Sandwich, two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Doris) Dimming of Manville, IL, and Mrs. Jack (Mary Lou) Bown of Cave Creek, AZ; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; a brother Vince of Chicago, and two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Betty) Gates and Mrs. Bud (Maxine) Klett, both of Torrence, CA.
He was preceeded in death by his wife, a grandson, Jeffery Hozie and six brothers and sisters.
