Odes D. Colvin, 80, Flora, died at 4:43 p.m. March 16, 1991, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. He was born Sept. 16, 1910, in Carroll County, to John D. and Ellen Hanna Colvin. He was married in Logansport March 23, 1926, to Myrle McCain, who survives. Colvin was a retired painter, and was employed by Purdue University from 1951 to 1973. He was a member of Flora First Baptist Church. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during World War II. He was a member of the Clarence Wiles American Legion Post in Flora. Surviving with his wife are one son, Mike, Lucerne; one daughter, Susan Colvin, Monticello; one brother, Owen T., San Angelo, Texas; and two grandchildren. Services were held today in Reinke Funeral Home with the Rev. Alvin Grumbling officiating. Burial was in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
