In 1834, Daniel living in Fairfield District SC married Elizabeth McCullough of Fairfield District 1809-1854 widow of Muscoe Boulware Jr d 1832. Their seven children and her Boulware children: Thomas McCullough and Nancy Margaret were reared in the Stevenson household on Rocky Creek in Rossville area of Chester County SC. In 1859, he married Nancy Beaty of Fairfield County with whom he had seven children. The Stevenson-Beaty marriage headstone is located near the McCullough family stones. After his death in 1880, the land was divided among the children and by 1910 widow Nancy B Stevenson was listed in the household of their son Robert A Stevenson in the Hazlewood township, east of present day I-77 and US 97 Great Falls Highway. Part of Daniels vast holdings are now owned by Stevenson cousins.
Daniel R Stevenson was Clerk of Session at Catholic Presbyterian for over 29 years, 1851 until his death in 1880.
