Peter James Haggerty, 74, Linn died Tuesday night at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born April 18, 1896, in Vienna, the son of David and Anna Redel Haggerty. On Feb 9, 1920, he married Clora Gray in Vienna. She survives. Mr. Haggerty, a retired farmer has lived in Linn for 20 years. He was a disabled World War 1 veteran, a member of the Vienna American Legion, St. George Catholic Church in Linn and a member of the Holy Name Socity of that Church.

Other survivors include: one son, Dr. C.E. Haggerty, Lake of the Ozarks; three daughters, Mrs. Henry Gentges, Linn and Mrs. Gene Parker and Mrs. Marvin Buescher, both of Jefferson City: one sister, Mrs. Henry Reichel, Freeburg; and 15 grandchildren. The rosary will be prayed at 7:30 tonight at Morton Chapel, Linn and at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night at Birmingham Chapel, Vienna. Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at the Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna Burial will be in the Parish cemetery.
