Robert accompanied his father George Scott and brother Mathew Scott from Northern Ireland. After settling in Washington County Penn Robert explored central Ohio and moved there with his wife Keziah Joy. Robert purchased government land in Section 1 Range 14, Township 17. Robert died in 1844 and is buried in the Gorrell Cemetery.
