He was born June 16, 1960 in Jacksonville, N.C. to Howard and Vivien (Johnson) Wooldridge. He attended school in Albany, Ga., Michigan State University, Ferris State University, and Excelsior College (a member of the State University of New York). John had also served in the U.S. Air Force for six years and the Army for four years during the Gulf War, and taught high school math and science.
He was a resident of LeRoy since 1999 and was affiliated with the United Methodist Church. He was an avid golfer at the Cadillac Country Club.
Surviving are his mother, Vivien of Albany, Ga.; one sister, Linda (Orrin) Carr of Madison, Wis.; three brothers, Forrest Howard (Sandi) Wooldridge of Denver, Colo., Howard (Karen) Wooldridge of Frederick, Md., and Rex Jesse Wooldridge of Bergen, Norway.
He was preceded in death by his father.
