Its obvious that Cornet James Brown is not her father he died at Pennyburn Mill May 21, 1689 and is buried at Benburb Presbyterian church in Ireland. during the Siege of Derry, but I do believe he was her grandfather. Johnston family tradition and American history publishing's have her as the daughter but I think they were correct on the family but the generation was off by one. Some of the Brown family continued to live in Ireland and even came back and forth the Atlantic as noted in Elizabeth's sister Mary Barclay's will in Philadelphia 1784.

Gravesite Details More to come on this great lady soon. How she doesn't have a grave marker is a travesty. She was most likely moved to Cedar Hill Cemetery where her husband was re interred with many of the family. He was given a new stone at that time.
