He was a former Charleston resident. He died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colo.
He was born May 26, 1912 in Charleston and for the past 15 years had resided in Ulysses.
He was a probate judge and city magistrate and also a former justice of the peace. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Ulysses, where he served a a deacon and song leader. He was also a member of the Kansas Association of Probate Judges.
He was married to the former Miss Mildred Fox of Charleston on May 30, 1933.
Surviving is his sons, Richard A. Dalton and James A. Dalton; daughter, Mrs. Carl E. Faszholz; brothers, Guy F. Dalton and S.C. Dalton; sister, Mrs. Theodore Belz; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at the McMikle Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
