Mr. Davis was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and was employed at the Waynesboro Florists from 1938 until his retirement several years ago. He was the last member of his immediate family.
Born July 9, 1872, in Augusta County, Mr. Davis was a son of the late Zachariah and Lucy Desper Davis. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mary Etta Tinsley Davis, on June 20, 1947.
Survivors include three sons, William Thomas Davis, and Herbert A. Davis, both of Waynesboro, and Willard A. Davis, Staunton; two daughters, Mrs. Lucy Lee Zimmerman, Nelson County, and Mrs. Thomas Parr, Route 1, Waynesboro; a number of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced.
