He was born in Springfield, the son of John J. and Martha Lyons Clark, and was a life long resident here. He married Verna Mae Harlan in 1953 and she preceded him in death in 1967.
Mr. Clark was a self-employed general contractor. He was a member of Christ King Church.
Surviving are daughters Terri Ann Kuhlman, Tina Clark; sons, John M. Jr., Steven Anthony, Dale Patrick, Matt & Mark Clark; three grandchildren; his parents; a sister Rose Marie George; a brother Charles E. Clark; several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Christ the Kind Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
