He was born March 8, 1895 in Jasper County, a son of John and Rosetta Cox Frederick. He was married Dec. 25, 1913 to Goldie Deverick, who survives.
Besides his widow, he leaves three daughters: Mrs. Harry (Audrey) Stewart, Mrs. Ivan (Betty) Holsapple, and Mrs. Omar (Wilma) Gross; a son, Max Frederick; one sister, Mrs. Rheo (Flossie) Bennett; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A son, Loren, died in 1963.
Mr. Frederick was an elder in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Charleston.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Tuesday at the Willow Creek Church, south of Casey, with burial in the church cemetery.

He was a short built man with broad and strong muscles. He had heavy black hair that turned gray very fast. He died of Hodgkins Disease.
