OBITUARY

Marie Mitchell MURRY, 81, died, Friday, May 24, 1996 in Amarillo.

Services were held in the Church of Christ with Mike Heatwole officiating. Burial was in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors.

Mrs. MURRY was born in Wingate on April 30, 1915 to Joseph Eugene MITCHELL and Dona V. Lillian DUNN. She lived for a time in Santa Ana, California where she graduated from high school. She married Floyd MURRY on October 19, 1935 at Floydada. She was a longtime resident of the Texas Panhandle having lived in Canyon, Perryton and Plainview before moving to Canadian where she had lived for 26 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Dr. J. Mitchell MURRY of Amarillo; three daughters, Donna HOLLAND of Pampa, Marieta AUTRY of Perryton and Jan RUPPRECHT of Amarillo; a sister, Irene MADDOX of Canadian; eight grandchildren, Tammy HECK, Tony PENA, David MURRY, Jimmy AUTRY, Becci HUTTO, John AUTRY, Ami RUPPRECHT and Micah RUPPRECHT, and 14 great-grandchildren.
