Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side Cemetery on Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. for Jimmie P. Kelsay, 96.

Mrs. Kelsay was born in Galloway, Missouri on September 16, 1906, and passed away in Templeton on March 22, 2003.

Mrs. Kelsay and her husband, Aca Kelsay owned and operated the Kelsay Market for many years, located across the street from the 11-C Market. Mr. and Mrs. Kelsay built the 11-C Market and it was owned and operated by Ralph and Ella Bryant.

Mr. and Mrs. Kelsay retired to Atascadero in the mid 1950's were they physically built their home together. They enjoyed horses and gardening. Mrs. Kelsay loved to entertain her family and friends in her home. She also enjoyed cooking and canning. She was an expert at leather craft.

Mrs. Kelsay was preceded in death by her husband, Aca Kelsay in 1984; her four brothers, Joe, Fred, Wesley and John Beshears and by her two sisters, Nina and Kathryn.

Her survivors include her sister-in-law and best friend, her sister-in-law, her nephews and their wives, her two nieces and their husbands, and by several great nieces and nephews.

Those who wish to pay their respects may do so on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday for 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
