Ms. Clinton was born January 25, 1941 in Littlefield and died Thursday, May 6, 1999 in a Lufkin hospital. Ms. Clinton was employed in the food service department at Memorial Medical Center, an had also worked for Marriott International. She was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist
Church and she had resided in Lufkin for four years.
Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Tami and Michael Sandlin of Lufkin; sons, Joe D. Beavers of El Paso, Artie Beavers, Rusty Beavers, both of Amarillo, and Lindsay Scott of Lufkin; grandchildren, Dylan Sandlin and Nathan Beavers; parents, Mr. and Mr. L. L. Thornton of Granbury and sister, Joan Jones of Glen Rose.
