Beverly Afzal 55, of Cabot,Arkansas formerly of Oak Grove,Louisiana passed away January 29,2011 in Cabot,Ar. she was a nurses aide before she suffered a stroke in the late 1990's that left her paralyzed she was unable to care for herself or her ailing mother Doris Jean. in 1982 she gave birth to her only child Sophia Afzal. she spent the last several years in a nursing home with her daughter living close by. Beverly was a christian and raised by a christian mother. she was preceded in death by her father Ollen Lee Moore; mother Doris Jean Crosby; step-father Louis Crosby; Beverly was survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sophia and Robert Nichols of El Paso, Arkansas. a granddaughter Naomi Nichols of El Paso,Ar. a [half] brother Harry James Crosby of Germany. her maternal grandmother Jewel Farmer Smith of Rayville,La. funeral services were held Tuesday Feb.1,2011 at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove,La. she was buried next to her mother Doris Jean Crosby at Redwing cemetery.
