LEBANON - BROWNING, CHARLES WILLIAM "BUBBA," 72, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Wife, Rosie Wathen Browning survives. Funeral is 11 a.m. on Friday, Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, 549 N. Spalding Ave., Lebanon, KY. Visitation is 1 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Bosley Funeral Home.

CHARLES WILLIAM "BUBBA" BROWNING, 72, Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville. Born in Marion County Oct. 17, 1938, Browning was retired from the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Department and was a United States Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Charles Joseph and Florence Cecilia Cooper Browning; an infant son, Charles William Browning Jr.; a brother, Harold Browning; and a sister, Jane Browning Holderman. Survivors include: his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Rosie Wathen Browning of Lebanon; a daughter, Lisa Annette, and son-in-law, Timmy Dean Childers of Lebanon; two grandsons, Dean and Christopher Childers of Lebanon; and a step-grandson, Craig Thompson of Louisville; two brothers, Boyd Browning of Lexington and Kenny Browning of Campbellsville; and two sisters, Connie Stallard of New Albany, Ind., and Ann Sousa of Louisville. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, Lebanon, with burial in Lebanon National Cemetery. Sr. Pastor Neal Gordon and Pastor Jonathan Carey officiated. Active pallbearers were Donnie Maupin, Mark and Jamie Browning, Roger Newton, Mike Luckett and Scott Stallard. Honorary pallbearers were Tony Rucker, Joe Foley, Mike Medley, David Wheatley, Charles David Langford, Butch Trent, Terry Wathen, Mitchell Wheatley and Joe DeSpain. Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.
