Mrs. Zona BARNES, 78, died early Monday morning December 12, 1966, at the Hiawatha Community Hospital where she had been a patient since November 16 of this year, following a stroke at her home.
She was born in Virginia and came to Brown County at an early age with her parents.
She was a member of the Hiawatha Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Robert H. BARNES of Kansas City, Missouri, and Clyde BARNES of Hiawatha, two brothers, Fletcher HARRIS of Long Beach, California, and Elmer HARRIS of Yelm, Washington, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Meek Mortuary Chapel at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, December 14, with the Rev. Albert Green officiating. Interment will be at the Hiawatha Cemetery.
