LESA RENEE IRIONS, the first born of three children blessed to Eddie Lee and Shirley Lynn Nance Irions was born on September 28, 1960 in Columbus, MS. At the age of four, she moved to Memphis, TN with her mother and father and attended Cummings Street Missionary Baptist Church where she gave her life to Christ at the age of nine. Later, she became a member of The New Salem MB Church Family. Lesa spent her early school years at Sherwood Elementary and Junior High and later graduated from Memphis Central High School in 1978. Immediately after graduating, Lesa attended Fisk University in Nashville, TN where she obtained a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Commercial Art in 1982. While developing her career as a commercial artist, she joined her father at V-8 Brake Service, the family business, as manager/brake specialist. Lesa served in this capacity for twenty years and within that time began her own company, Designs by Lesa. Recently, she was employed by FedEx. Within a short time, Designs by Lesa evolved as a mainstay for several noteworthy city events. Her talent quickly spread to accommodate national wedding planning and event services. Lesa became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in the spring of 1991. It was within this
group of strong women that she made an immediate and indescribable impact. Lesa's love for art and splendid creativity soon became a signature well known to us all; her spirit will be with us always. Although she now watches over us from above, she will be by our side, among our thoughts, and within our hearts. Lesa Renee Irions will be cherished by her dear mommy and daddy, sister, Sheila
Irions Williams of Dallas, TX and brother, Eddie Jr. of New York, NY; her brother-in-law, Reginald Williams; her nephew and niece, Matthew and Madison Williams; her long-time companion, Cleveland Holmes and many loving relatives
and devoted friends. Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2005 from 12:00 noon to 12:45 p.m. and Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at The New Salem M.B. Church; 2237 South Parkway East. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
