Sentina A. "Sandy" Firlein of 217 Grace St., Grove City, where she'd lived for 20 years, died at 10:44 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, in Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, after an extended illness. She was 64.
Ms. Firlein was born March 3, 1946, to Clara Palmer Surrena and John Pettinato.
She retired in 2009 from Orchard Manor, Grove City, where she worked in housekeeping with the laundry department.
Sandy was of the Methodist faith.
She enjoyed reading, people, working at Orchard Manor and playing bingo.
She is survived by a son, Brian Firlein, Grove City; a grandson, Orion Firlein; and a sister, Rose M. Oakes and her husband Harvey, Quaker City, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Pettinato and Clara Surrena, and by her loving companion, Franklin N. Kamerer, who passed away in 2009.
