Al was the only son of Francis and Hazel Goodson. He was married to his wife Marguerite (Margie) in 1959. They raised four boys; Dan & Jim as well as two foster sons, John & Ken.
He was widowed in 1991, and married his second wife Shirley (Belanger) in 1992. Shirley passed away in early 2003.
Al & Margie had 8 grandchildren, and great-grandchildren continue to join the family.
Al's interests included camping and model trains. He worked as an auto mechanic for many years at his own service station, and then worked for the Town of Kennebunk for many years before his retirement.
Al died from complications of a heart attack and serious infection.
