Brown who died at her home near this city Sunday afternoon was held at the Methodist church here yesterday afternoon at 8:00 o'clock. The services were conducted by Rev. C. G. Ernest, of Byromville assisted by Rev. J. E. Seals of this city. The deceased was the wife of the late H. C. Brown, who served for several years as tax receiver of this county. A sister of Mesdames J. B. Smith and J. B Forehand of hear this city and of Messrs Carl and John Forehand of Berrien County. Her long illness and subsequent death has brought grief to a large number of relatives and friends. She leaves five children to mourn their loss; three sons and two daughters; Messrs, Veline, John, and Henry Brown, Miss Zaida and Sophie Brown. She was a woman of unusual strength and sweetness of character, devoted to her church and friends.
