A native of Blount County, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard and had retired after more than 30 years with Tractor & Equipment in Birmingham. Predeceasing him were parents Dewey Monroe and Minnie Mae Brown Standridge; brothers Talmadge, Howard, Euel, and Nicky Standridge; sisters Lottie Hamby, Patsy Bailey, and Dolly Standridge.
Surviving are wife Janell Ballard Standridge; son Steve Standridge of Oneonta; daughters Ginger (Scot) Phillips of Straight Mountain and Janna (Chad) Snow of Ohatchee; grandchildren Haley Thomas, Matthew Rainwater, Regan Snow, and Gracyn Snow; great-grandchildren Logan Thomas and Lucas Beard; brothers Marvin Standridge of Oneonta and Cecil Standridge of Allgood.
Bud Jones and Bill Barnett officiated services Thursday, Dec. 3, at 1 p.m. at Lemley Chapel. Interment followed at Ebenezer Cemetery.
