Evelyn Valerine Robinson, age 88, passed away on January 26, 2011. Evelyn was born on July 13, 1922 to David and Selma (nee: Johnson) Niemi. Her early years were spent on a farm in Trout Lake Township. Evelyn graduated from Greenway High School in 1941. She married Prentice Robinson in 1943. During the mid-1940's she owned and operated Robinson's Café and Bakery in Coleraine, Minnesota. Traveling, farming, and nature were her special interests.
Preceding her in death were her parents, David and Selma Niemi; infant sister Lila; brothers, Arthur and Edwin; and her husband, Prentice Robinson.
She is survived by her brother, Clifford, and his wife, Joyce; son, Duane; sister-in-law, Marge Niemi; six nephews and five nieces.
Services will be at Rowe Funeral Home on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Grand Rapids. The Rev. Marva Jean Hutchens will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota.
