John F Drake, 72, died Monday afternoon in his farm home, six miles west of Goshen, from heart complications.

He was born in Union township, May 1, 1867, the son of Mr and Mrs Moses Drake.

He had resided at his present farm home for 30 years, moving there from Union township.

His wife, Elizabeth Mishler Drake, died in 1927.

Mr Drake was a member of the German Baptist church.

Surviving are seven children and 25 grandchildren.

The children are Mrs Mary Reed of Muskegon, Mich, Charles at home, Mrs Amzy Miller of near Wakarusa, Mrs Walter Eby of Olive township, Mrs George Bainter of west of Goshen, Levi and Miss Clara Drake both at home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home and at 2 o'clock at the Union Brick church. The Rev J W Skiles of Rossville, and the Rev O A Custer, of North Manchester, will officiate. Burial in Union Brick cemetery.
