William Barts, 79, passed away at 5:30, Friday, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Voss, Town Meeme.
He was the son of Fred and Wilhelmina Barts. He was born on July 29, 1873 in the Town of Herman, and married on June 14, 1898 to Sophia Winkel. The couple located mostly in Sheboygan County and since 1933 have lived with their daughter in Manitowoc County.
Survivors include four children ---- Ervin, Kiel; Edgar, Ada; Mrs. Elmer (Anna) Hoehnke, Ada and Mrs. Fred (Selma) Voss, Osman; 15 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. His wife, one son and a daughter preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Walter H. Ahrens' Funeral Home, Howards Grove. The Rev. Stanley Huesemann, pastor Evangelical Reformed Church, Town Herman, will officiate. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Town Herman.
Friends may view the body from 7 p.m. Saturday at the Ahrens' Funeral Home until the hour of service on Sunday.
