Leona C. Droesch, 91, died at 4:45 p.m. May 5, 2006, at The Gardens at St. Henry, where she was a resident.
She was born April 23, 1915, in Coldwater, to Henry and Frances Severt Rosenbeck. On Oct. 22, 1935, she married Joseph Droesch, who died Feb. 26, 1989.
Survivors are four sons, Gene, Coldwater, and Cyril (Mary Ann), Jerry (Kathy) and Robert (Shirley), all of St. Henry; three daughters, Rita (Ernest) Staugler, Coldwater, Margie Meiring, Burkettsville, and Janice (Nicholas) Hess, Coldwater; two brothers, Sylvester (Hilda) Rosenbeck, Fort Recovery, and Wilfred (Mary) Rosenbeck, Coldwater; 19 grandchildren, including Ted Hess; 27 great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren and four stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Urban and Edward Rosenbeck; four sisters, Louise Timmerman, Dorothy, Mary Wolters and Rita Nerderman; a daughter-in-law, Janet; and two grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and member of St. Henry Catholic Church and its altar rosary sodality. She also was a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating.
