Curtis Gerald O'Dell, 64, of Cave-in-Rock, formerly of Mill Shoals, died Sunday evening, Jan. 23, 2011 at his home.
He served in the U.S. Army and previously worked at Airtex and IDOT in White County. He was most recently the owner of the Cave-in-Rock Fish Market.
He was born Sept. 11, 1946, in White County, the son of Gerald and Opal Taylor O'Dell. He was married to Paula Frailey on Oct. 5, 1979 in Cave-in-Rock.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Raychel (Terry) Simms of Fairfield; three granddaughters; his mother-in-law, Eula Frailey of Cave-in-Rock; one sister-in-law, Pam (Matt) Mercurio of Rosiclare; two brothers-in-law, Kurt (Melissa) Frailey of Rosiclare and Keith (Joni) Frailey of Goreville; two aunts, Hattie (Johnnie) Parks and Hope O'Dell of Carmi, both of Carmi; three nieces, two nephews and a great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave-in-Rock, with interment in Cave Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
