Leverence Bourgeois Sr., 74, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 1:12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2011.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores Curole Bourgeois; one son, Leverence Bourgeois Jr. and wife, Katie; one daughter, Doreen Bourgeois and husband, Farrell; one sister, Agnes B. Adams; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theophile and Lydia Danos Bourgeois; one brother, Norris Bourgeois; and two sisters, Anna Mae Clement and Inez Foret.
He was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church.
