Mr. A.C. Gilbert died at his home in Marion Saturday after an illness of several days of pneumonia. Mr. Gilbert was the oldest and one of the best known business men in the county. He was in his 79th year and for many years he had been in the saddlery business here. He had served the county as jailer.
Two children survive him, Mr. A.M. Gilbert of this place and Mrs. E.R. Williams of the county.
