Maurice Watson, 91, of Princeton, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at his home, following a long illness.
Born Nov. 3, a son of the late Jim L. and Narciussus J. Asher Watson., he was a retired cival engineer, as well as being self employed, and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He was an Army WW11 veteran.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Byron Watson; and two sisters, Ozelle Harper and Jimella Hawkins.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Johnson Watson; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Kathy Watson of Puryear, Tenn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Ronnie Haywood of Caldwell County; four grandchildren, Jackie Story, Kevin Story, Stephanie Feagan, and Alicia Bucy; seven great-grandchildren, Meagan Story, Ashley Story, Layne Story, Grace Story, Drew Feagan, Emma Feagan, and Jade Bucy; a brother, Bernard Watson of Princeton, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Friday,Oct. 15, at 2:30 p.m. at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Ronnie Sivells officiating.
Burial followed in Morse Cemetery in Caldwell County.
