Mr. Felton C. Fricks age 89, of Center Point Road, Carrollton, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011 in a Rome Hospital. He was born January 16, 1922 in Rome to the late Jess Fricks and Lavada Monk Fricks.

Mr. Fricks served his country as a member of the US Army during WWII attaining the rank of Sergeant and receiving the Purple Heart for injuries he sustained. He was a long time member of Abilene Baptist Church, and retired in 1980 from the General Motors Co, where he spent 27 years.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sibyl Bearden Fricks and a step granddaughter Angela Hope.

Survivors include his son and daughter in law Lamar and Paulette Fricks of Carrollton, sister Emma Gribble of Rome, grandchildren Jeff and Peggy Fricks of Acworth, Tom and Tina Fricks and Kristy and Allen Prince all of Carrollton, step-grandchildren Dustin Shelnutt of Franklin and Cory Shelnutt of Carrollton also surviving are five great grandchildren Griffin Fricks, Kimberly Prince, Lauren Fricks, Tate Fricks and Turner Fricks.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home of Saturday from 5:00 until 9:00PM. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 2:00PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Gerald Rogers officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Fricks, Tom Fricks, Cory Shelnutt, Greg Bearden, Jimmy Bearden and Allen Prince.

Music will be rendered by Joyce Reece and David Caldwell. Interment will follow in the Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery with American Legion Post #143 making the Flag presentation.
