Eleanor Yarnell Ballard, 90, of Brooklyn, N.Y., died Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn.
She was born July 28, 1908, in Boggs Township, a daughter of the late Clayton and Eliza Nynan Yarnell. In 1939, she married Dr. Henry Alexander Miller, who died in 1945. In 1951, she married Robert G. Ballard, who died in 1995.
In 1929, she received nurse's training from Centre County Hospital, became a registered nurse in Philadelphia, and worked at University Hospital in Philadelphia.
She is survived by two sons, Henry Y. Miller of San Jose, Calif., and Edward Y. Miller of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a sister, Florence White of Bellefonte; a brother, Harold Yarnell of Centre Hall; and four grandchildren.
