DIES AT KOUTS HOME


Hiatt Jackson, age 71 years, a retired Pennsylvania railroad section foreman, died Friday night at 11:07 o'clock at his home in Kouts. He had been bedfast since June with complication of diseases.
He was born at Crawfordsville, Ind., on Feb. 13, 1866, and came to Kouts in 1900. For thirty-three years he was employed as a section foreman on the Pennsylvania railroad in Kouts. On August 1, 1935, he was retired on pension.
On March 4, 1889, he was united in marriage at Crawfordsville to Anna Laura Jackson, who survives together with the following children: Mrs. Ella Cannon, Walter, Gerald and Paul Jackson of Kouts; Henry Jackson of West Point, N. Y.; and Harry Jackson of Fort Sheridan, Ill. A son and daughter died in infancy. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Alice Lowe, of Crawfordsville, Ind.
He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Crawfordsville.
Memorial services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock standard time, at the Presbyterian church, in Kouts, Rev. Williams officiating.
