Services for Lee Brown, 83, were held Wednesday, July 5, in Schellhammer Funeral Chapel. Following services the body will be taken to Des Moines for cremation.
Mr. Brown died early July 3 in Pocahontas Community Hospital where he had been a patient since June 23.
Surviving are the widow, Elizabeth, a son, William, Fort Worth, Tex.; three grandchildren; a brother, Neil, Estherville; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Hagen of California.
Born at West Bend, Mr. Brown moved to Estherville as a small child and attended school there. He then attended the Armour Technical School, Chicago, Ill. In 1912 he married Elizabeth Zeeman at Estherville and he worked in farm management at Gilmore City for many years. (Humboldt Republican, Estherville, IA, July 5, 1972)
