He was a member of St John Vianney Catholic Church in Orlando. Surviving are his wife, Mary Stella DeFazio Abbott; children, John Gordon Abbott, Lance Eric Abbott and David Allen Pennisi; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and siblings, Kay Lauze, Beverly LeBel, Frank, Robert and Richard Abbott. A Memorial Service will be held on February 1, 2011 in the Club House of Lake Shore Landings in Orlando. Arrangements entrusted to Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, FL.
