Ira Lee Berryhill, 87, went to live with the Lord from his home in Waco Wednesday, April 14, 2004.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with the Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Interment will follow at Dresden Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roger Berryhill, Mike Berryhill, Rex Norris, Tom Sellers, Derek Sellers, Larry Boulware and Kenneth Berryhill.
Mr. Berryhill was born Nov. 27, 1916, in Corsicana to Frank and Gertha Berryhill. He married Dorothy Jones on Dec. 31, 1942. Mr. Berryhill retired from Lone Start Industries in 1976. He loved to fish, hunt and garden. In the past few years, he had become an avid reader.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Berryhill of Waco; sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Doloras Berryhill of Sweetwater and Waymonn and Debby Berryhill of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Alton Hassell of Waco; and brother, P. G. [TG??] Berryhill of McGregor. He also enjoyed 10 grandchildren, two who preceded him in death, and five great-grandchildren.
